They built it together

WALTERS IS A FAMILY NAME

In that family, if you couldn’t find it, you made it.

We couldn’t find it. So here we are.

Every piece starts with something we wanted and never saw made right — a shirt, a fit, a feeling.

What We Make

Small-batch tees and crewnecks, dyed after they're sewn — built the way things used to be, meant to fade with you. Most shirts take years to become one of one.

Who It's For

People who don't need it explained.

Alissa

A collector before anything else. Jars of marbles — the favorite, a deep pink-and-white galaxy swirl. A slogan button her mother wore in the late '60s. String, kept for the weave. And color names like Battery Charged Blue.It started at thirteen, in a Kansas City vintage shop that's gone now — piles of jeans, low lighting, a guy with long hair and glasses who ran the place and never put his cigarette out. Some things from that shop never left her closet. She's been trying to get back there ever since. Walters is her family name. This is not her first company. It's the one she couldn't find, so she made it. First concert: George Michael. She'd go again. She tells the stories — piece by piece, and all at once. Most days: somewhere between Blacks Beach and Hana.

From San Diego. Mentally, New York. Occasionally Saturn. It started with Banksy, then the rabbit hole of 1980s New York. Basquiat, Warhol, and Haring are signed on the inside of her left arm — their signatures, their handwriting. Haring said art is for everybody. She took it literally. At Walters, she's the gut check. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't get made. Collects souls. Mostly figuratively.
